Welcome to Tova — a platform designed to help people connect meaningfully and safely. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tova application, website, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully before using Tova.
By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Tova.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Tova. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have not been convicted of a violent or sexual offense.
- You will use Tova in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
Tova reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in inappropriate or unsafe behavior.
3. User Conduct
As a Tova user, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Upload or share sexually explicit, violent, or discriminatory content.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service.
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt our systems or networks.
Tova reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including account suspension or permanent removal — if you engage in prohibited conduct.
4. Content and License
You own the content you upload or share through the Service (such as photos, bios, or messages). However, by posting or sharing content, you grant Tova a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You may not post content that infringes on the rights of others or violates any laws. Tova reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
5. Safety and Responsibility
While Tova strives to create a safe dating environment, we cannot guarantee the behavior or intentions of users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others, both online and offline.
Tova does not conduct criminal background checks but may use available resources to identify suspicious accounts. Always use caution when sharing personal information or meeting someone in person.

6. Subscription and Payments
Certain features may require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Tova (and its payment partners) to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable fees.
All payments are non-refundable unless required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time in your app settings.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting support@tovadating.com. Tova may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
Upon termination, your profile and data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights, trademarks, and content associated with the Tova brand (including the logo, design, software, and code) are the exclusive property of Tova Technologies Ltd. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tova and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied.
10. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
11. Changes to These Terms
Tova may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of major changes via email or app notification. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
